Trip Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax and recover from your journey or take a short stroll around the vibrant streets of Thamel. In the evening, you will be briefed about the trek and the schedule ahead.

Today, after breakfast, we embark on a guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. We will visit UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. These sites provide a deep insight into the rich cultural and religious heritage of Nepal. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the city or prepare for the trek.

Early in the morning, we take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Phaplu, a small mountain airstrip in the Solukhumbu region. The flight offers stunning views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Phaplu, we begin our trek to Ringmo, a beautiful Sherpa village. The trek takes around 3-4 hours through lush forests and charming villages. We spend the night in Ringmo, enjoying the local hospitality.

Today, we trek from Ringmo to Sarsar Beni, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. The trail ascends gradually through dense forests of rhododendron and pine, offering occasional views of snow-capped peaks. Sarsar Beni is a serene campsite located near a river, providing a perfect setting for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, we embark on a challenging trek to Dudh Kunda, also known as the "Milky Lake." The trek to Dudh Kunda is strenuous but rewarding, taking around 5-6 hours. The lake, situated at the base of Mt. Numbur, is considered sacred by both Hindus and Buddhists. After spending some time exploring and soaking in the views, we return to Sarsar Beni for the night.

We trek from Sarsar Beni to Junbesi today, which takes about 6-7 hours. The trail descends through beautiful forests and crosses several suspension bridges. Junbesi is a picturesque Sherpa village, home to the ancient Junbesi Monastery. We explore the village and learn about the local culture and traditions before resting for the night.

The trek from Junbesi to Phaplu takes around 5-6 hours. We follow the trail through lush landscapes, passing by terraced fields and traditional Sherpa homes. Upon reaching Phaplu, we relax and prepare for our flight back to Kathmandu. This final trekking day offers a wonderful conclusion to our journey.

After breakfast, we take a flight back to Kathmandu. The flight provides one last opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or explore more of Kathmandu.

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. We hope you had an unforgettable experience on the Dudh Kunda Trek and look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal in the future.
