Trip Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax or explore the nearby area. In the evening, there will be a short briefing about the trek, followed by a welcome dinner where you can meet your trekking guide and fellow trekkers.
We start our journey early in the morning with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Dhap or Pattale. The drive takes approximately 8-9 hours, passing through picturesque landscapes, terraced fields, and charming villages. Upon arrival, we settle into our accommodations and prepare for the trek ahead.

After breakfast, we begin our trek from Dhap/Pattale to Jhapre. The trail offers stunning views of the Himalayan range, including Everest, Numbur Himal, and others. The trek is relatively easy, taking about 4-5 hours through rhododendron forests and small Sherpa villages. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Jhapre, enjoying the local hospitality.

Today’s trek takes us from Jhapre to Pikey Base Camp. The trail gradually ascends, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. We pass through lush forests and open meadows, reaching the base camp after 5-6 hours of trekking. The base camp provides a breathtaking setting for the night, with clear views of the starry sky.

We start early to catch the sunrise from Pikey Peak. The ascent to Pikey Peak is steep but rewarding, taking about 2-3 hours. From the summit, we are treated to spectacular views of Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and other peaks. After soaking in the views, we descend to Taktor, a journey that takes approximately 4-5 hours. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Taktor.

Today, we trek from Taktor to Junbesi, one of the most beautiful Sherpa villages in the region. The trail descends through dense forests and crosses suspension bridges over glacial rivers. After about 5-6 hours of trekking, we reach Junbesi, where we can explore the village and visit the ancient Junbesi Monastery. We stay overnight at a teahouse in Junbesi.

Our trek today takes us from Junbesi to Phaplu, the final destination of our trekking journey. The trail is relatively easy, taking about 5-6 hours through forests, fields, and small settlements. Upon reaching Phaplu, we check into a hotel and enjoy a well-deserved rest, reflecting on the incredible journey.

After breakfast, we take a short flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu, enjoying one last aerial view of the Himalayas. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, do some last-minute shopping, or explore more of Kathmandu. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the trek.

After breakfast, our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure. We hope you had an unforgettable experience on the Pikey Peak Trek and look forward to welcoming you back to Nepal in the future.
