Guide Ram is a Himalayan GEM!

We went to Annapurna base camp with Ram in a small group of friends. What a wonderful trip it was, and how happy we were that Ram was our guide!! First of all - he was so positive and friendly all the time - nicest person on Earth! Secondly and most importantly - he took care of all the group’s security and health - had necessary medication and made sure the slowest hikers are not left behind ) He also helped us with bags and rain coats and provided all the necessary stuff we needed during the trip. Besides, he told us many great stories about Nepal and his work as guide in mountains. After Annapurna - Ram was really the next highlight of our trip! Thanks a lot Ram and we definitely recommend you as a guide!

Though he runs a travel company but a year ago he was my friend 🧡, mentor n guide while on ANNAPURA BASE CAMP trek.. we took non gandruk root.. n while enjoying the 320° view of poon hill we reached our destination ANNAPURNA BASE CAMP on the 8th day.. More than a guide – a true friend

My daughter (8y) and I took a private guided tour with Ram, and we completed Everest Base Camp trek and have stayed in close contact ever since. From the very first meeting, Ram treated my 8-year-old daughter with genuine warmth, encouragement and respect. He always made her feel included, believed in her and gave us complete confidence that her safety and well-being would always come first. His kindness, honesty and passion for the mountains are remarkable. Over the months since our trip, our guide has become our friend. Went solo with Ram to ABC and Mardi Himal in march. Trip was 10 days. Ram is a very professional guide, and excellent companion for long trips. Very happy to have spent the time with Ram. Highly recommend!!

I can not recommend Ram highly enough. I was lucky enough to have him as my guide for my Everest Base Camp trek, and he made the entire experience unforgettable! From the moment I arrived in Kathmandu, he went above and beyond. Even though we'd only just met, he helped me navigate around & took me to exchange money, making sure I was comfortable and settled before the trek even began. That kindness immediately put me at ease. Throughout the trek, he was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and always looking out for everyone's wellbeing. Pointing out different Mountains and their names, giving lots of information about the area. As someone with coeliac disease, travelling can be stressful, but he made sure my food was always gluten free and safe to eat. That gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to enjoy every moment of the trek without worrying. He was endlessly patient, encouraging on the tougher days, and always had a smile on his face. It was obvious that he genuinely cared about the people he was guiding, not just getting us from A to B. To top it all off, before I flew home, he surprised me with a T-shirt as a gift and even saw me off at the airport. It was such a thoughtful gesture and perfectly summed up the kind of person he is. Everest Base Camp was the trip of a lifetime, and I know it wouldn't have been the same without him. If you're looking for a guide in Nepal, I wholeheartedly recommend Ram. You'll be in safe hands, and you'll leave with not only incredible memories but also a friend. Thank you again for everything & I hope our paths cross again one day!

Outstanding guide for our father-son trek to Everest Base Camp

In April 2026 my father and I trekked to Everest Base Camp with Ram Dahal as our guide, and we could not have been in better hands. Ram is patient, genuinely kind, and completely focused on safety — his constant "stay safe and alert" mindset set the tone for the whole trip. Excellent guide!

I trekked Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley with Ram in November 2024. I highly recommend his services. Everything was perfectly planned and executed. Perfect Guide Ram

My friend and I had the pleasure to have Ram as our guide on a Langtang Valley trek. What can I say: Ram was the perfect guide and made our holiday very special despite terrible storms. Torrential rain, uncharacteristic for the time of year, caused landslides, destroying the paths and bridges needed for our return journey; but Ram's special knowledge of the terrain meant that he was able to guide us to safety by climbing, yet higher, on an improvised route above the level of the landslides before beginning our decent on the other side. All the time, Ram had special regard for my safety and kept a close watch on me, aware that my age made me vulnerable to falls. I have no hesitation in recommending Ram. He is the one you can trust to keep you safe whatever conditions you encounter, whilst also making your trek both adventurous and fun. You will not be disappointed if you choose Ram as your guide! Journey Unforgettable and Safe

I recently completed the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek for the first time with a friend. As beginners who were unfamiliar with trekking, we faced several challenges, such as renting equipment and managing daily logistics. However, our guide, RAM, went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly. He was incredibly helpful with the entire process of renting and returning our gear, taking a huge burden off our shoulders. Throughout the 8-day journey, Ram was much more than just a guide; he was a supportive companion. He patiently waited for us whenever we wanted to take photos and even captured many great shots of us himself. One of the things I appreciated most was his pacing. He carefully monitored our physical condition and maintained an appropriate speed to help us avoid altitude sickness while ensuring we reached each destination safely. His hospitality was outstanding—he provided us with delicious meals and comfortable accommodations, and he even surprised us with apples and snacks during our hikes. He was always attentive, constantly checking if we needed anything else before and after our meals. Even when there were communication barriers, Ram was patient enough to explain things multiple times until we fully understood. I am extremely satisfied with his professional yet kind service. If you are planning to trek for the first time, I highly recommend RAM. He will make your journey unforgettable and safe.

Brilliant Guide!

We spent 6 days trekking around Ghorepani and Poon Hill with Ram - he's a brilliant guide! Our trek was in January so he helped us plan a route suitable for the cold weather, but remained flexible to our pace every day, adjusting where we would stay as we went along. It felt like he knew all the guest house owners - we were always so well looked after. His recommendations for lunch stops were always spot on too! He gave us space to enjoy the trek as a couple, and was equally happy telling us about his experience and life in Nepal. He learnt loads about the country from him. Would 100% recommend him - you won't find a more honest, genuine man to enjoy a hike with!

I completed the trek from Kathmandu to Annapurna Base Camp with Ram, and it was simply an exceptional experience! Here is my feedback: · Transfers, lodge accommodations, and bag management—everything was seamless and well-organized. · Proper equipment, careful acclimatization monitoring, and a well-planned itinerary to minimize the risks of altitude sickness. · Ram adapted to my pace and interests, adding authentic touches like a visit to a Gurung village. · Great Value for Money: All-inclusive at a reasonable price for such an incredible experience. Every day offered breathtaking scenery: terraced rice fields, forests, glacial valleys, and of course, stunning views of Annapurna. 💡 Tips: · Allow 12–14 days in total to enjoy the trek without rushing. · Recommended physical preparation (significant elevation changes). · Pack light but include warm layers (nights at altitude are chilly). ✨ Verdict: If you're looking for a well-organized, safe, and culturally immersive trek to Annapurna, I highly recommend Ram. P.S.: The dal bhat in the lodges is delicious, and the Nepalese people are incredibly kind. Be prepared to fall in love with this country! 🇳🇵🙏

Outstanding and Professional Guide

I've been on several treks in the Himalayas, but we found Ram to be an outstanding and professional guide. He gave us space to enjoy the trek and I felt like we were trekking with a friend. When things got rough for us he rose to the occasion, encouraging and physically helping. Even when unluckily we hit bad weather and found bridges and trails washed away he calmly improvised and led us to safety. His knowledge of local geography, flora and fauna provided a fascinating commentary during the trek. We just felt good being with him and highly recommend him.

Really liked Ram’s Professionalism

My husband and I, we did the Mardi Himal trek with a guide named Ram. I really liked Ram’s professionalism and the care he showed for the trek participants. Ram closely monitored the health of every group member and supported us both with words and actions. One day, a woman twisted her ankle, and Ram helped by carrying her backpack. Ram also paid close attention to safety at all times. As for me personally, Ram always encouraged me whenever I was running out of strength and told me about the nature we were seeing around us. Dream Come True

I met Ram in 2025 when we were supposed to go to Everest Base Camp. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t on our side, and our flight was cancelled for two consecutive days. At this moment, we have decided to go to Annapurna Base Camp. At the airport, in a hurry, Ram managed everything. From a new route to booking new flights and finding a porter in Pokhara. An Unforgettable Annapurna Base Camp Journey with Ram

Ram guided a mixed group of Russians and Americans to Annapurna Base Camp in the spring of 2024, catering to the diverse needs of each member, both culturally and physically. When our Kathmandu - Pokhara flight was suddenly canceled due to smog, he swiftly found a jeep to bring us over so that the trip was not delayed. When some of us wanted to skip Machhapuchhare lodge, Ram recommended it was important to stay there for the night not because of time savings, but because of altitude adjustment considerations - and I realized it was true when I heard the group who skipped it, puke at the base camp as we were quietly admiring the night sky. Ram organized meals, porters, hotels, and everything was done efficient and politely, with the most genuine smile and kind caring attitude. We formed a nice friendship and stayed in touch even after the trip, partly because his English is so good. I definitely recommend Ram and trust him like family.
