Early in the morning, we depart from Kathmandu and drive to Chhet Chhet, which takes approximately 7-8 hours. The scenic drive offers glimpses of the countryside and the foothills of the Himalayas. Upon reaching Chhet Chhet, we commence our trek to Simigaon. The trek is a moderate hike that takes around 3-4 hours through terraced fields and forests, finally reaching the picturesque village of Simigaon.
Today, we continue our trek from Simigaon to Dongang. This section of the trail is quite challenging as it involves a steady ascent through dense forests of rhododendron and pine. We will pass through small settlements and enjoy the serenity of the Rolwaling Valley. After approximately 6-7 hours of trekking, we reach Dongang, a small and tranquil campsite.
The trek from Dongang to Beding is a rewarding journey that takes around 5-6 hours. The trail follows the Rolwaling River and offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Beding, located at an altitude of 3,690 meters, is the largest village in the Rolwaling Valley. It is inhabited by the Sherpa community, and you will have the opportunity to experience their unique culture and lifestyle.
Today is an acclimatization day to help your body adjust to the altitude. We will hike towards the Dolma Khang Base Camp, enjoying panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks. The hike takes around 4-5 hours, and we return to Beding for the night. This excursion is crucial for acclimatization and prepares us for higher altitudes.
After breakfast, we embark on a trek to Naa Gaon, which takes about 4-5 hours. Naa Gaon is a beautiful village situated at an altitude of 4,180 meters. Upon arrival, we explore the village and its surroundings. The village offers spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and glaciers. We spend the night in Naa Gaon.
Today, we undertake an exhilarating hike to Dudh Kunda (Milk Lake) and Cho Rolpa Lake. This challenging hike takes us to one of the highest points of our trek, offering breathtaking views of the glacial lakes and the majestic peaks. After spending some time at the lakes, we return to Naa Gaon for the night.
We retrace our steps back from Naa Gaon to Dongang via Beding. The descent is easier and takes around 6-7 hours. We pass through familiar landscapes and enjoy the tranquility of the valley. Upon reaching Dongang, we set up camp and rest for the night.
Our trek today takes us from Dongang back to Simigaon. This section of the trek takes about 6-7 hours, descending through lush forests and terraced fields. Upon arrival in Simigaon, we settle in and enjoy the evening in this picturesque village.
On the final day of trekking, we make our way from Simigaon to Chhet Chhet, which takes about 3-4 hours. From Chhet Chhet, we drive back to Kathmandu, which takes around 7-8 hours. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can rest and refresh after the long journey.
This day is free for you to explore Kathmandu at your own pace. You can visit cultural and historical sites such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. Alternatively, you can relax and enjoy shopping for souvenirs. In the evening, there will be a farewell dinner to celebrate the completion of the trek.
